AI vs AI Agent: What's the Difference?
Video in Vietnamese Published
About this video
AI vs AI Agent is not a contest between two equal technologies. AI (Artificial Intelligence) is a broad field; an AI Agent is a type of system that applies AI to pursue a goal and choose actions within permitted boundaries.
An AI application can summarize email. An AI Agent can find important messages, retrieve information, draft a response and check the result using tools it is authorized to use. But adding tools to AI does not automatically create an agent: a fixed workflow and an agent that flexibly chooses the next step are two different ways of organizing work.
You will explore:
- Why AI and AI Agents are not rivals.
- The 1956 Dartmouth milestone and 1995 research on intelligent agents.
- The difference between answering, a workflow and multi-step action.
- Cost, latency and risk as the level of autonomy increases.
